SALES

We are just breeding 2 mini-Nubians does. The 3 Nigerians are retired. We keep up to date on health testing and have remained negative for CAE, Brucellosis, TB, and now Johnes since initiation of the farm in 2002. The animals never leave the farm to show or have contact with other animals.

Both with blue eyes (vivid in the first month, now faded to around the iris, but mom is blue-eyed

Sire: Cowboy

Spring Woods Delilia (white)- SOLD! Thanks, Sarah!
Just look at the nice width between her hocks. I foresee lots of milk in this girl's future. Very dairy and lovely ears. She's a quiet, sweet girl. Her dam, Clare, has excellent attachments as a first freshener and nice medial support. Dililia has blue eyes, although they melded into brown around the edges with blue around the iris. Mom is blue-eyed so she will pass that on.

2nd Generation Mini-Nubian
46.88% Nubian/ 53.13% Nigerian

Dam: Cesna - Sire: Cowboy

Marshall, hanging out in the bucket, is a sweet wether.
Very friendly and outgoing. His dad, Cowboy, is quite an amusing character and mom is a regal, sweet elegant gal. Marshall is a fun loving blend of them both. Available $75.

Robin - - SALE PENDING

Robin has airplane/slightly dropped ears. She has her mother's very sweet, laid-back personality. Robin has a soul-ful gaze as she presses in among the other goats quietly, waiting for her attention. I have waivered many times about keeping her as her mother's udder is WONDERFUL to milk (see below) and Cesna has her milk star for production to boot. Cesna is a peaceful goat, very well-behaved on the milk stand. I see Robin VERY much like her dam which is why I nearly kept her. Alas, some cuts have to be made, but someone else will get to enjoy this lovely girl.

She has nice depth of the chest and spring of the ribs. I wouldn't say that her legs are of show quality with slight out-toeing in the front, but if you want milk for your home, this is your girl! I'll get more pics posted soon.

Dam's udder July 08:

CBC Farm's B Declaration - AVAILABLE -$200

dob 3/4/06
1st generation Mini-Nubian 75/25

Recently freshened for the first time with twin blue-eyed doelings.

Click on left photo to see her full pedigree.

I brought this blue-eyed beauty out from Checkerboard Creek in Oklahoma. She was worth the long transport. What a lovely typed mini-Nubian.

She just freshened for the first time with a nicely attached udder and nice fore-udder. Nice medial support. Decent height to the rear udder. Teats are not large but are already increasing. She stands still like a statue on the milk stand. I haven't really measured production as I'm only milking her occasionally for "practice". Her babies are still nursing on her. She would be a great addition to a mini-Nubian program. (I'm retaining her daughter instead - Clare should NOT reside in a barnyard with llamas like we have here - she annoys my three llama girls at feeding time.)
